Using honey on the skin is one of the most beautifying experiences. It firms, draws moisture to the skin, is soothing and anti-bacterial too and thanks to its natural gluconic acid, it break down the “glue” that binds dead skin cells together making it a powerful but gentle exfoliant. Your skin is left kissably soft.
Sourcing honey is a responsibility we take very serious. When we became aware of Colony Collapse Disorder and our honeybee’s plight in this modern world, Elisha vowed to protect our little honeybee friend. She sought out beekeepers with her same values and was mentored for over a year by Kirk Anderson, founder of the Backwards Beekeepers, a treatment-free beekeeping group in Los Angeles. Elisha knows that treatment-free honey (and most urban-farm honey) is the most ethical choice when sourcing and interestingly too, these beekeepers rarely experience vulnerable hives. More often than not, theirs thrive year after year. Read more about treatment free honey here
