Sourcing honey is a very serious responsibility. When we became aware of the honeybee’s plight with Colony Collapse Disorder, Elisha vowed to protect our little honeybee friend and source only the happiest surplus honey she could find. She immediately sought out beekeepers with her same values and was mentored for over a year by Kirk Anderson, founder of the Backwards Beekeepers, a treatment-free beekeeping group in Los Angeles where she learned about treatment-free beekeeping and urban beekeeping practices, two of the most sustainable and ethical choices when it comes to choosing honey. While other beekeepers are losing hives year after year, treatment-free beekeepers are rarely vulnerable and more often than not, they thrive.Read more about treatment free honey here
